Update: Updated Guidelines for the Re-Opening of Eben-Ezer Haitian Baptist Church of Westbury<\/b><\/p>\n

The doors of Eben-Ezer Haitian Baptist Church of Westbury were re-open since August 2020 for in person worship services.\u00a0 <\/span>The health of our church members is our highest priority.\u00a0 <\/span>We are committed to provide a safe environment for them.\u00a0 <\/span>In the sanctuary, the guidelines below are followed:<\/span><\/p>\n

1.\u00a0 <\/span>Worship Services<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

On August 2, 2020, we returned in the sanctuary for worship services.\u00a0 <\/span>We conducted at that time one morning service at 11:00 AM until October 11, 2020.\u00a0 <\/span>Beginning October 18, 2020, we are conducting two worship services on Sundays, one from 9:00 am \u2013 10:15 am and the other from 11:00 am \u2013 12:30 pm.\u00a0 <\/span>Only the second service is online.\u00a0 <\/span>We are considering two key elements:\u00a0 <\/span>1) We are gathering in a manner that is consistent with the CDC social distancing guidelines; 2) We recognize that a great party of our church is not returning at this time.\u00a0 <\/span>As we gather, we make an effort to minimize the opportunity for exposure of Covid-19.\u00a0 <\/span>We have a team in place with a specific plan designed to increase your safety if you choose to attend.\u00a0 <\/span>Worship service is not the same as it was before the pandemic.\u00a0 <\/span>For members who are considered high risk and for those who do not feel comfortable to return at this time, we continue to provide online opportunity to worship with us on Facebook, YouTube, Instagram, Twitter.\u00a0 <\/span>Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Saturday prayer services are in the sanctuary and on the Webex line.<\/span><\/p>\n

2.\u00a0 <\/span>Sunday School\u00a0<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

A change of time is planned for the Sunday School.\u00a0 <\/span>The Sunday School will again be on Webex line at a time to be announced.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

3.\u00a0 <\/span>Meetings<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

Church Committee and Council have returned for meeting in the church on 2<\/span>nd<\/sup><\/span> and 4<\/span>th<\/sup><\/span> Sunday of each month, and other Sunday, if needed.\u00a0 <\/span>Social distancing guidelines are being followed.<\/span><\/p>\n

4.\u00a0 <\/span>Ministries<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

<\/b>Some Church groups gatherings or meetings are returning to normal schedule in the church.\u00a0 <\/span>The meetings are functioning in keeping social distancing guidelines.<\/span><\/p>\n

We are preparing to re-open the doors of Eben-Ezer Haitian Baptist Church of Westbury for in person worship services. The health of our church members is our highest priority and we are committed to provide a safe environment for them. As we return, the guidelines below will be followed:<\/p>\n

1. Worship Services<\/strong>
\nBeginning August 2nd, 2020, we will return in the sanctuary for worship services. We will conduct for the moment one morning service at 11:00 AM. We are considering two key elements: 1) We will gather in a manner that is consistent with the CDC social distancing guidelines; 2) We recognize that a great party of our church will not return at this time. As we gather, we will make an effort to minimize the opportunity for exposure of Covid-19. We have team in place with a specific plan designed to increase your safety if you choose to attend. Worship service will not be the same as it was before the pandemic. For members who are considered high risk and for those who do not feel comfortable to return at this time, we will continue to provide online opportunity to worship with us on Facebook, YouTube. 2. Sunday School<\/strong>
\nNo change at this time is planned for the Sunday School. The Sunday School is on Webex line from 9:30-10:30 AM.<\/p>\n

3. Meetings<\/strong>
\nChurch Committee and Council have returned for meeting in the church on 2nd and 4th Sunday of each month, and other Sunday, if needed. Social distancing guidelines are being followed.<\/p>\n

4. Ministries<\/strong>

Update: Message regarding COVID-19, Coronavirus<\/b> As a local church, we are praying for the nation and those impacted by the coronavirus\u00a0 (COVID-19), and we continue to hold fast to faith in\u00a0God<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The health of our community is our highest priority and\u00a0we are committed to providing a safe environment for all of our members; therefore, beginning this Sunday, March 22, we will have\u00a0online worship only<\/strong>, and we are discontinuing in-person worship through March.\u00a0This may extend to additional\u00a0Sundays as we have further information. All other activities at Eben-Ezer Haitian Baptist Church of Westbury will be suspended at least through March except for our weekday prayers.<\/p>\n
