Update: Updated Guidelines for the Re-Opening of Eben-Ezer Haitian Baptist Church of Westbury

We are preparing to re-open the doors of Eben-Ezer Haitian Baptist Church of Westbury for in person worship services. The health of our church members is our highest priority and we are committed to provide a safe environment for them. As we return, the guidelines below will be followed:

1. Worship Services
Beginning August 2nd, 2020, we will return in the sanctuary for worship services. We will conduct for the moment one morning service at 11:00 AM. We are considering two key elements: 1) We will gather in a manner that is consistent with the CDC social distancing guidelines; 2) We recognize that a great party of our church will not return at this time. As we gather, we will make an effort to minimize the opportunity for exposure of Covid-19. We have team in place with a specific plan designed to increase your safety if you choose to attend. Worship service will not be the same as it was before the pandemic. For members who are considered high risk and for those who do not feel comfortable to return at this time, we will continue to provide online opportunity to worship with us on Facebook, YouTube. Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Saturday prayer services will be on the Webex line.

2. Sunday School
No change at this time is planned for the Sunday School. The Sunday School is on Webex line from 9:30-10:30 AM.

3. Meetings
Church Committee and Council have returned for meeting in the church on 2nd and 4th Sunday of each month, and other Sunday, if needed. Social distancing guidelines are being followed.

4. Ministries
Church groups gatherings or meetings will return to normal schedule in the church. The meetings will function in keeping social distancing guidelines.

We have come from a long way, since March 2020, to meet face-to-face with you all again.

May the Lord guide us during this re-opening time!

Rev. Duval Denis
Pastor of EHBCW

You will not fear the terror of night, nor the arrow that flies by day,
Nor the pestilence that stalks in the darkness, nor the plague that destroys at midday.
A thousand may fall at your side, ten thousand at your right hand, but it will not come near you.

The church has put some precautions in place, increasing sanitation practices and asking worshippers to refrain from physical contact with each other. We will continue to monitor the COVID-19 situation and will keep you informed.

Here are some of the basic measures listed on the CDC website:

  • Avoid close contact with people who are sick.
  • Avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth.
  • Stay home when you are sick.
  • Cover your cough or sneeze with a tissue, then throw the tissue in the trash.
  • Clean and disinfect frequently touched objects and surfaces using a regular household cleaning spray or wipe.
  • Wash your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds, especially after going to the bathroom; before eating; and after blowing your nose, coughing, or sneezing.
  • If soap and water are not readily available, use an alcohol-based hand sanitizer with at least 60% alcohol. Always wash hands with soap and water if your hands are visibly dirty.

Remember to pray and put God first in everything we do.

Mizajou: Mesaj konsènan COVID-19, Coronavirus Kòm yon legliz lokal, nou ap priye pou nasyon an ak moun ki afekte nan coronavirus a  (COVID-19), epi nou kontinye kenbe  konfyans nan Bondye.

Sante kominote nou an se pi gwo priyorite nou e nou pran angajman pou bay yon anviwònman san danje pou tout manm nou yo; Se poutèt sa, kòmanse Dimanch, 22 Mas, nou pral gen adorasyon sou entènèt sèlman, epi nou ap sispann adore an pèson nan mwa Mas. Sa ka pwolonje pou plis dimanch kòm nou gen plis enfòmasyon. Tout lòt aktivite nan Legliz Batis ayisyen Eben-Ezer nan Westbury pral sispann omwen nan mwa Mas eksepte pou priyè nou pandan lasemèn.

Lis konplè sou deplase, modifye ak anile pwogram ak sèvis ki disponib anba a:

Jèn lwanj lannwit: chanje atmosfè a 22 Mas | Ranvwaye
Eben-Ezer Vwayaje nan legliz vwazen | Sispann

Nou pral gen sèlman Dimanch 11:00 a.m. sèvis sou entènèt

  1. PayPal http://paypal.ebenezerofwestbury.org/

Nou pral fè l ‘nan sa nou ap fè fas a kòm yon sosyete ak sonje ke Bondye toujou nan kontwòl.Sòm 91 v 5-7Ou pa bezwen pè bagay k’ap fè moun pè lannwit, ni kè ou pa bezwen kase pou malè ki ka rive ou lajounen.
Ou pa bezwen pè move maladi k’ap tonbe sou moun nan mitan lannwit, ni epidemi k’ap touye moun gwo midi.
Mil (1.000) moun te mèt tonbe sou bò gòch ou, dimil (10.000) sou bò dwat ou, anyen p’ap rive ou

Legliz la te mete kèk prekosyon nan plas, ogmante pratik sanitasyon ak mande adoratè evite kontak fizik youn ak lòt. Nou pral kontinye kontwole sitiyasyon an COVID-19, epi yo pral kenbe ou enfòme.

Men kèk nan mezi debaz yo ki nan lis sou sit entènèt CDC a:

Toujou lave men ou avèk savon ak dlo si men ou wè sal.

Sonje lapriyè epi mete Bondye an premye nan tout sa nou fè.

God gave us a spirit not of fear, but of power and love and self-control (2 Timothy 1:7)

As we continue to receive communications and information regarding the COVID-19 It is extremely important that we are safe. we are called as people of faith to protect one another, particularly the most vulnerable among us. In the midst of health battles, confusion and fear, we as a church family want to prayerfully respond. The church has put some precautions in place, increasing sanitation practices and asking worshippers to refrain from physical contact with each other. We will continue to monitor the COVID-19 situation, and will keep you informed. As updates become available, we will send emails, update our website, and use social media to get information out. Please join us in praying for those affected by this virus.
