Today, May 18, 2022, we, Haitians in NY, gather to honor and celebrate the rich culture of our country, Haiti and its people.

18 Mai 1803-18 Mai 2022, sa fe 219 ane depi drapo Ayisyen te kreye nan Akaye, Ayiti.

May 18, 1803- May 18, 2022, it has been 219 years since the Haitian flag was created at Arcahaie, Haiti.

Jodi-a, nan jou Fet Drapo Ayisyen-an, nou reyini an solidarite ak fre e se nou yo an Ayiti, peyi ke nou renmen anpil.  Today, on the Haitian Flag Day, we gather in solidarity with our brothers and sisters in Haiti, Country that we dearly love.

Zanset nou yo te mete fos yo ansanm pou batay pou libete.  Our ancestors joined hands and forces together to fight for freedom.

Nou di Bondye: mesi pou libete!  We say to God: Thank you for freedom!

Senye, ede nou pratike deviz ki nan drapo nou-an: linyon fe la fos!  Lord, help us to practice the motto in our flag: Union makes strength.

Senye, ede nou itilize libete pou nou sevi youn lot nan lanmou!  Lord, help us to use freedom to serve one onother in love!

Senye, ede moun kap fe sa ki byen, kontinye fe byen!  Lord, help those who are doing good, continue to do good!

Moun kap fe sa ki mal, pou yo repanti!  Those who are doing evil, come to repentance!

Senye, mete lanmou nan ke Aysyen toupatou, pou youn renmen lot!

Lord, place love in the hearts of Haitians everywhere, to love one another!

Senye, eklere lide Ayisyen nou yo pou yo kapab pran bon desizyon pou bon mach peyi-a!

Lord, enlighten our Haitian leaders to make good decisions for the well-being of the country!

Senye, mete stabilite politik nan peyi-a!  Lord, place political stability in the country!

Mete tout moun ansanm pou elimine divizyon e pou fe pep Ayisyen yon sel pep!

Bring people together to eliminate divisions and to make Haitians one!

Senye, ede pep Ayisyen pou yo mete tet ansanm pou fe peyi-a avanse!

Lord, bring the Haitians together for the well-being of the country!

Kenbe yo ak fos ou e bay yo toujou esperans!  Keep them with your power and always give them hope!

Ke drapo ble e wouj la rete anko pou pep Ayisyen yon sinbol espwa ak fyete!

Let the flag blue and red still today represent for the Haitians a symbol of hope and pride!

Senye, nou priye ou konsa nan non Jezu.  Amen!   Lord, we pray in Jesus name.  Amen!
